Test Duration

Test Timing
Considering the number of questions, it is important to manage your time effectively for the SAT. On the SAT, you will have around 1 minute and 10 seconds per question, given the total of 154 multiple-choice questions.
Scoring
SAT scores range from 400 to 1600 as a composite score. Additionally, subscores and cross-test scores help identify your strengths and weaknesses in specific sections. It’s important to note that there is no passing score, as colleges consider various factors in addition to your SAT score when evaluating applicants.
The SAT test does not penalise test takers for guessing, as incorrect answers are not penalised. Therefore, it’s advisable to make an educated guess rather than leaving a question unanswered. The SAT allows you to submit four score reports along with your college applications.
